Have you been back to the track yet? Curious to see what she'll run with those new wheels

The new wheels and hood is not my cup of tea 98, but you still own one of my favorite 2v's. Your engine is pure sex!!!

I dunno. I'm much more a fan of how the car used to look. But honestly, its your car and if you like the new look thats all that matters man. I still think the car is bad ass!

Dude they are just mad. SRT's car can probably barely run in the 14's so he is jealous. Then BK_CAULEY drives an 80's model chevrolet pickup....enough said.

I like the wheels, but not so much on the new hood. But I'm sure it will look alot better once painted.

Either way, I'm curious to see what she runs next time out with the new lighter setup! Good luck!

Big, Huge, Useless Cowl hoods that block visibility are just nasty.... Sorry, But i have Taste.

I used to love the way your car looked before the hood and the drag wheels.... I used to think You had Taste :-(

I haven't been to a 1/4 mile track, but that's probably because the closest one to me is Brainerd International Raceway and it's over 2 hours away. My car is used primarily for cruising on the street. I totally agree that most 1/4 mile race cars have big and littles, but why not have both? Keep the FR500's for the street and use the big and little's for when you go out to the track. Is your 98 only a track car now? Did the old Cobra R hood not fit over the intake with the 2" spacer? If so at least you've added a functional part. There are some with bone stock 2V's that install cowl hoods and to me that's f'n ghey.

+1 on the redneck business, not sure how that has anything to do with your car.

If you like your car that's all that matters anyways. As I said earlier you still have one of the nicest 2V engines I've seen

From what I understand the purpose of the cowl hood is so the edelbrock intake, large plenum, and 2" spacer fit.... it's hardly useless

the car is about 75% street, but i dont DD the car, so i only drive it when i want to romp it around town a little,(like 2k miles a year) so why have heavy 17" rims? and yes, i am now running a 2" plenuim spacer on the intake, i talked with MHS nick and was told all a spacer will do is help high rpm power! perfect since that what the car is built for! the intake rubbed the 2" cobra R hood with no spacer!

and i love the race car look! i dont know about where anyone else lives, but there are street cars around here with parashute's, wheelie bars, slicks, ect.. i know a guy the street drives a car with 33" mickey thompson slicks! it's very common around he since we have NO emmision testing!

I'm diggin the new wheels!!! They make the car look F'n mean & I'm sure the car will 60 ft much better now. I'm not a fan of the hood, but it has its purpose to clear the intake, so therefore its not "useless". Once its painted, it will blend in more & will bring the look all together.

As far as the California comment, I know SRTHandz was out of line, but there are other people on this site that live in California, including myself, & that comment is kinda offensive. What exactly does that mean, all of us Californians are stupid???
