Race UPDATE

If some of you guys remember, I asked if I'd beat my friend's 01 Maxima.

Well yesterday, him and I were on our way back from a friend's house and we got stuck at a stop light. We looked at eachother, and thought the same thing. So it turns green, none of us go yet, then I hear him going into the high rpms then he launches, probably a couple millaseconds later, I launch.

He probably had a half car headstart and was ahead of me from the start. I started to worry that I wouldn't be able to pull on him, but at 45mph, I defintely started pulling, and by 65 I was a full car ahead. I really underestimated my car since then and I really thought he'd take me. But it definitely is true, torque wins races. I now wonder what the outcome would have been if I had my new mods in.

Btw, street racing is stupid, and I'm really stupid for doing it. But I really had to put him in his place and the road was clear and straight. I just loved the look on his face as I was pulling away, oh man I loved it.

Stop light grand prix's are stupid but I also find myself doing them quite often
but as far a racing in industrial places or back roads in the middle of nowhere on friday nights I like better granted its dangerous but you dont have to worry about cops or pedestrians I'm sure I'll get scolded by somebody on here but when you live 70 miles from a dragstrip chit happens :D

I used to detail cars for a dealership so I have the chance to drive them the 2 miles or so to and from the detail shop and the lot. I did a stoplight race against a 94 mark VIII in a 2001 maxima. Had him off the line but he beat me. I'm glad, I like Mark VIII's don't want a maxima to beat a DOHC 4.6.

Anyhow I never drove a car that felt faster then mine. I drove 4 99+ GT's. 3 coupes and one vert. I felt a little more topend but I felt more sotp torque in my 91.
