the v6 has exhaust and i think intake, i have a stock 94.5.0 we raced 4 times and everytiem i took him off the line and then he would just fly right by me shiftin into 2nd??

I think my car has a problem to though,i got dirt into my gas tank and ever since the car sometimes doesent run right.
BUT HES V^ AND HE BEATTTT MEEE WHATS WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE I WANNA KILL SOMEONE ITS EMBARISSIN LOOSIN TO A V6

well it is an '02 and they're a little better stock. Considering it's a manual too any stock sn95 would be a close match. Comes down to who's the better driver?

the whole thing about dirt in the gas tank can cause serious problems, so i wouldn't let that one go

no not yet, a few people told me to get stuff that cleans out the gas tank and fuel injectors they said its like 10$ is this stuff worth it. Cuz i really dotn have the money to get it cleaned out right now

I would do anything you can to try to get that dirt out of the tank.

You can try it but more than likely that dirt it just sitting on the bottom... I think that stuff is for cleaning guk out of the fuel lines and injectors if it even does anything... not dirt

Its not hard to do, you just need to get the rubber seal for the filler neck, because they ALWAYS rip every time you try to remove the gas tank. Gotta jack up the rear end and don't bend the strips whatever you do, they get REALLY short in a hurry if you do. Other than that its a breaze. When I put my fuel pump in I had a lift and a transmission jack to lower it, made it a breaze. Just my .02.

i have a 5-speed. Do any of you guys know any sites or stuff i can read step for step how to do it cause i dont really know to much about out stangs yet,but i would love to learn
Also ive been fillin my car up with regular 87 ocatane gas, but after i lost the race i bought fuel system n fuel injector cleaner and filled up super+ 93 oct and it feel like its runnin a bit quiker. can you guys gimme the basic tips on using my 5 speed to the max

93 will just make you run richer and slow you down.

octane does NOT add power, it prevents detonation.

clean your tank, advance your timing and run 93, yank the air silencer on the side of the air box... or trim it to a bigger opening at the fender.

well before i had my car on the road it was garaged for a fewq months and i used those red container tanks to fill up the gas and the first time i filled the car up with it i noticed it started stallin n **** like that then the next day for some odd reason i lookeed in the container and the tank was filty it had **** floating around in it and dirt in it

no one has said this but i think a new fuel filter would be a good idea dont you?

Absolutely.

If you don't feel like dropping the tank, at the very least, pull the fuel line off of the pump side of the filter. Turn the key to the on position (extinguish flames and have some common sense when the raw fuel is pumping, mkay?) and pump out all the fuel and hopefully, any contaminants in the tank. Install a new filter and give it a go. It's not nearly as good as dropping the tank and nowhere near as good as cleaning the entire system like you should, but it'll help.

it has to be the tank problem cause it shouldn't even be a close one until 80-90 mph...them 02 v6s are quick but you should easily have him at usual speeds..0-60 in your car should be a good half to three quarter seconds faster than his if you know what you are doing... but up at high speeds he would probably gain on ya..dirt in the tank...really weird but yeah clean that out ASAP

When I clean things like fuel tanks, I use a old trick taught to me by my welding guy:

1. Drain/Remove tank
2. Mix a cup of dishwashing detergent in with a bucket of petrol and pour 1/4 into the tank
3. Swirl the mixture round the tank for a minute or so
4. Pour out into another container
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 another three times.
6. Rinse tank our with some more petrol, pour out.
7. Re-install, fill and enjoy your clean tank.

Also works when making intercooler pipes, etc.
