racing with hung up caliper

so i went racing finally and i noticed it was running a little slow what ever finished the night well the second to last run i have to run down a dodge neon running 17.5. 5 second i have to wait run him down and had to get on the brakes hard not to break out well herd the front start grinding well to make long story short got the car home and was pulling the wheels of and had it on stands had the wife pushing the brakes have a hard time turning the wheel tell her to push the brakes harder and she said not even touching the brakes sooooo after taking the rotor and caliper off as one peice well guess that could bee were my time slowed

Was it the rear or front brakes?

I've had my rear calipers seize on each side on different occasions. It's not terribly uncommon (assuming the fox uses similar brakes as the SN95). The slide pins can get fused into the caliper bracket if the grease dries out, or the dust boots crack and water gets in there. F'n dumb.

But to the OP, if it IS in the wheel, your drums may be out of adjustment or there could be a problem with the star wheel adjuster that's causing the shoes to drag.

Seriously, I don't know if this is a Ford problem too, but GM front disc brake hoses collapse inside, like a clogged artery. They'll lock that caliper down on the disc like it's welded on.
