Wondering if any of you have ever robbed a radiator from a junkyard car to fit in a 70 mustang? (16" X 24 1/2" core + tanks) I took my oem radiator to the shop today and was told that it's to far gone to rebuld, and was quoted 400+ Bucks for a new one. can I grab a nice fat 3 row out of some relatively common car and make it work, it doesn't have to be an exact fit but close would be nice.

you can buy a new one for about 100 bucks, but to answer your question, no there really isn't much in the way of junkyard radiators that will work. i know some of the japanese trucks of the 80's used a similar LOOKING radiator but none are 3-core and i doubt any of them will work either, but i guess it might be worth checking out
