Radiator hose upper/lower collapsing

I noticed this last few days that after I turned my car off,both the hoses starting to collapsing down until it is almost flat. I could hear the coolant draining back somewhere(The radiator or the engine )? After it cool down a bit the hose will bounce back to its old shape. I don't see a leak anywhere and the temp gauge is showing a little on the cool side ( 140'-160'F ) . I am running a 180'F thermostat.
What could be happening ?

Have you replaced the rad cap anytime recently (or tested it)?

Make sure the overflow tank isn't clogged with sludge in the bottom....

Are they cheep hoses or quality ones? I've had cheep hoses do that and replaced it with a factory hose and the problem went away.

Good call.. The hoses are from 5.0Resto. So I guess they are not the best around. I will drain and clean the overflow tank and see if it is the problem. The cap are about 1 years old. I will pick up a new one asap.

If you have the cash the Ford Racing hoses are nice and hold up really well.

The hoses are a symptom, not the underlying issue. More robust hoses might mask the symptom but the issue will still be there.
