I have installed the radiator now

top:

The radiator is secure, it's not moving. The rubber on the bottom bracket are doing their job, amazing what a difference a little piece of rubber can do.

and other bits:

I have here the red brick and the relays for the headlights.
I hear you saying, "what if" you burst the hose.... well how often does that happens

I have been doing some research and thinking about hiding the wiring, I came to a compromise. I'll keep you posted on it later on.

Me also. You got the same I did. Tight fit eh ? Frame to frame. Mine hase the hose on the other side though. and your electrical is arranged almost the same. i have my box there, and both relays. Along with a fuse block.

the only thing i dont like is the lower hose angles up, i shouldve "pie cut" mine and angled it down.

I can't speak for Gonzo, but I think we're using the same size, I cut 1.5" from each side. The fins are fully exposed but the tanks are covered by the core support. Mine is mounted differently than his though. The upper mount I'm using is a narrowed 77 granada piece. I have maybe 1/4" of room between the back of the fan motor and the water pump shaft, it is tight but everything is secure and I have had no problems. I need to go back to a 180 thermostat now, right now it cycles between 150-160 which is too cool for my tastes.

Does your radiator go from frame to frame like Gonzo's?

It looks like he cut into the core support "recess area" and eliminated it all together. That allows the top of the Radiator to rest all the way foward against the back of the core support.

I wonder how much more room that allows.

I have a 4 core copper radiator, but now with the AC condenser in front, It still isn't enough here in summer time El Paso traffic.

And I only have about 3 1/4" between the back of the rad &the WP pulley.

mine is not recessed like Gonzo's. I just widened the opening to get full air flow. The tanks of the radiator are all but touching the core support, its as far forward as I could mount it without further core cutting(like Gonzo). The radiator does go, for all intents and purposes, from frame rail to frame rail, 26" wide I think, whereas the stock one was around 19" I want to say. My lower mounts rest on the strut bar supports/bracing. This radiator can really shed some heat, probably the best $170 I've spent on my car in a long time.

i cut the whole "lip" out so the radiator sits flush, but my cap sits under the core support, so i didnt have to notch it, and it gace me a lot more clearance inbetween the w/p and fan. Me and talked for a while over this mod a while back, seems like the common size is a 28x19" core.

I'm running the Northern 27.5"x19" in my mach and love it. Why it doesn't measure 28" is beyond me. I didn't have to open up the radiator support cause the later cars had larger openings. I have about 1/4-1/2" clearance on each side of the tanks to the frame rail. Its a tight fit. Don't expect keeping your battery up front though, it won't fit.

I measured only 27 1/2" between my frame rails, but I think it would fit.
