I have a 88 gt and I hate that the radio is way down by the shifter. Has anyone tried puting it where the two center vents are. I think that would be a perfect location.
I've seen it done, just make sure you do something with the heater vents. You don't want heat blowing into your stereo. I think the factory location is like the worst placement of a stereo ever. I've also seen the HVAC and stereo swapped around which is another good alternative but takes more work.
