i have a pioneer deh-6700mp and a sony 4/3/2 channel amp 600w max and a 10 in pioneer sub 400 watt and i have 4 pioneer 6.5 230 watt speakers for the doors and rear deck... radio has two pre amp outputs, how do i hook it up so the speakers get there one output and the sub gets its own, i want to get a single amp dedicated for the sub..and leave the pioneer for the 4 speakers.

i have they sony to power the 6.5 speakers and will get a sec one for the sub but will the 2 pre amp outputs work ithe the two diff amps? or will i hsve to use the low wire setting on the amp and not the rca connectors?

The RCA outputs are just front and rear.It looks like yours is a front/sub out put.Just use the sub out to connect to the amp, and that way you can control the crossover from the head unit

your pioneer radio has the option of using the rear out put for rear speakers or subs. So you can either use it to control your subs or use it for your rear speakers. This option is in the menu when you turn the unit off hold the function button then scroll through till you see the option it will read something like F/R or F/S. If you use the rear channel to run your subs you will loose fad control but it will work fine. that is how i wuold run it. you will either have to change your input on your 4channel to - 2channel input which i think you said it was a pioneer amp which should have that option. if not just use spliiter on the 4 channel and run the rear channel to your sub amp.

ok thats what i was thinking of doing... but i want all 4 corner speakers to be powered by the sony;; so ill just run the speaker wires to the sony amp and then to speakers, and ill use the sub outputs to run the sec amp with the kicker. i dont know much about high tech stereo stuff so ill just do it the most basic way
