Radio Wiring Question

I am replacing the radio in my 1986 Ford Mustang LX the precious ownner had put a sony radio in, and I have 2 questions

1. i found some fuses on the red and yellow power wires, were inline fuses stock or were thoes added after?

2. On the Red power wire has a Small black box labeled Sony, does anybody know what the black box might be? could it be a noise filter? or voltage regulator?

Looks like they are both aftermarket. I dont remember any inline fuses being put in with the stock radio. The black box that says sony, might open up and have a fuse in it. check to see if there is a hinge on it. Good luck. If thats no good, ask the sound and shine people.
