Awesome pics, thanks for sharing. I bet that was a real blast.

However Cobrask8 looks really small on that track compared to the NASCAR guys when they run there.

Very cool!

Probably pretty hard to miss the 'ol 69 vert on a day like that, huh?

There were many prepped Mustangs too! A good friend was POUNDING his 1970 BOSS 302, not too far off stock. If he gets any more serious, he'll finally put in good brakes, tires, suspension.

Here's the happy Dr. Chepsks8 and Cobrask8...

(hard to see, but check out the cool driving shoes! )

Ya know, after further review.........I took another look at those pics purporting to be you driving around the track, and in each one Cobrask8 seems to be standing quite still! How do we KNOWFORSUREBEYONDASHADOWOFADOUBT that you didn't just roll the car out there, park it, and have some pictures taken?

I mean, c'mon........in each photo the wheels seem to be in the same orientation as ALL the others! (look where the spokes are all pointing!)

btw....my earlier statement still stands........

A buddy of mine just bought an '85 Ferrari Mondial, and of course being new to Ferraris, he had a few questions which he took to a Ferrari site (much like SN). One of the questions being if there was someplace he could get a replacement windshield for less than $2K.
The first reply read something like....:
First, Welcome to Ferrari ownership.
In response to question 1) : ____________,
In response to question 2) : ____________,
In response to question 3) (windshield): Welcome to Ferrari ownership!

Plans for next year include a video camera bolted to the roll bar for an "over-the-shoulder" view!

edit:

RM - I have driven Lime Rock many times, and hope some day to run the Cobra there. Next Year, come back east and come to the Glen, I'll sign you in!

Jay - Instead of stickers, I'll take a MOTOR! (and NO Eleanor body panels!)

For the mother of all tracks, you gotta ship your cars over to Germany and take a blast on the Nurburgring. My 66 will be thrashed to within in an inch of it's drum brakes around there when I finally get it finished...

Be back east next April. Already sent for a video from factory five. The GT in the garage is getting nervous...

When you come East, let me know. I'll happily let you check the car out, answer questions, drive it, etc. I have hundreds of build photos.

Here is the official build/support site for the FFR cars, of which I am also active on, same screen name - http://www.ffcobra.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=forum;f=1

A SUPERB place for information & assistance.

Brian,

See if he's on the FFR forums. If so, tell him you know me (use my screen name).
