Hi

Since i've installed my new rim\tires combo, the car stalls very randomly, say 1 time per 2 week when taking at a very low speed curve... It's like if the power steering is working too hard and bang it dies. Today I was heading back to work, took a turn and right in the middle of the turn the car died, no more steering. I'm damn lucky, the angle was near perfect and I missed the curb by like 1 inch so i was able to refire her up again and continue... But damn, someday it'll happen aagain and i'll it a curb i'm pretty sure.

Any ideas what can cause this ? Car is almost stock as a rock, I can provide any pics\vids if necessary.

Thanks :flag:

i honestly have no clue, hopefully someone else can chime in with more insite

hows your idle besides the turning thing, maybe try cleaning out the IAC valve thats connected to the TB

you could also pull the belt off the PS pulley and see if it turns kinda freely or really tuff like its siezed

My idle is perfect except when I start and restart the car after a small pause say when im waiting in line at the drive-thru and i stop the car. Well once it starts again the idle kinda plays alot from 800rpm to like 200rpm but never dies in this situation but farts alot of backfires.. very weird. Other then that it's always steady at like 750rpm.

that seems to be an ignition problem. i had the same problem. the car would just die and if i was driving on the highway it would start up again on its own. then it would die once i came to a stop. then it would die and take a while to start back up. then it would die and not start up till it would cool down. then it just wouldn't start. this was over almost 3 months. i changed ground wires and straps. then after 2 sets of plugs, 2 sets of wires, 2 sets of cap and rotors, and 2 ignition modules. i fork up the cash for a new MSD dizzy and all my problems were solved. and idled like a dream till my cam swap. most likely the PIP sensor in the dizzy.

if it happens to die on you and cranks but doesn't turn over. take like your wire from your coil and have someone crank it will you try to ground it on you intake. if you get no spark there's your problem.
