I absolutely love the smell of a car running turbo blue (for those of you who don't know what it is...115 octane). Every time I smell it I wanna boil the damn back tires off my car lol

Just wondering if anyone else loves this smell as much as I do.

Same here I work for an independent oil jobber, and I can get it at cost! I've only run it once, but man it shure does smell good.

Even though it's not the best to run in a fuel injected car AIRPLANE fuel is good smelling stuff too. It has some lead in it so it keeps the valves nice and cool, but I just wouldnt want to run it when I can get Turbo Blue or VP fuels.

leaded types clog up cats and coat o2s. as far as the others couldn't say. when i was in the air force guys used to put jp8 in their diesels, but would never put it in a gas car as it is pretty much diesel.

95STROKERpsu, even though I've only run it once i'd say turbo blue is the way to go. I dont know whats readily available in your erea, but VP racing fuels are good too.

It should'nt mess any thing up with either of those too. It's good because you can usually run some more timing. The only thing I personally have ever heard of messing up was my uncles vette. He put some blue in it than took it out on the interstate to see how fast he could go and some plug wires melted. It was an older vette though.

For the cost I'd rather have the turbo blue(that great smell!). Check with some Independant oil company's in your erea and see what they can get you and make shure they know before hand how much you want. We wont get any for someone that just wants 2 gallons. They rather have to get a barrel, or in 5 gallon buckets.

I can only get it at this little Pennzoil shop about 20 minutes away. They have a big tank of it, and a little pump hooked up to it. All it displays is the gallons, then they bust out the calculator and tell you how much lol. It's $4.50 a gallon there...too expensive to get all the time, but every once in a while I'll indulge. I don't have any problems with it, maybe cuz I'm running an O/R H? dunno... I have noticed it runs a little bit better, but not alot...I think it's mainly psychological lol. I remember the first time I smelled it (might not have been Turbo Blue, but it had a similar smell), I was about 10 years old at a local car show and an A/C cobra replica drove by me leaving the show...the exhaust was literally pounding my chest and that smell was intoxicating. After years and years of goin to drag strips and car shows, it has stuck with me

The smell ... sure, it's great.

The performance ... not getting any more unless your car is specifically tuned for it and needs it.
