I have this issue now and then that when my car is idling it will shut off as if I had turned the key off but will fire right back up on re-start.
When this does happen, I run codes and get a code 11. So there is no problem that the ECU is detecting and I do have a new ignition switch in the car.
So anyone have an idea why it would just shut off then re-start just fine?

I've had a sensitive igntion switch do this: meaning that the spring back when releasing while cranking over was so strong that it caused the switch to actually go slightly past the "ON" and shut off. Worth testing next time you start that you slowly let it come back. Maybe it's on the edge between positions in your case and shuts off?

I doubt it's the ignition switch itself as this shut off has occurred with both the old factory and a new ignition switch.

Yeah, in that case you're probably right.

Shake the key switch and the connector to the ignition switch while its idling, I've had trouble with two ignition switches, check the connections at coil too, you know the drill, its a bad connection someplace

I have a new connector at the coil so this has happened with both old and new coil connector. My tuner suggested to me to test power at the coil if it happens again. He thinks it may be related to the ECM relay.
