now that I have the rollbar in my car and my seat position is forward more the Airbags will probably do more harm than good if deployed. I was wondering what it takes to remove them without hurting the inspection side of things since the car is a daily driver. is the system tied into the OBD at all that would get me a failing scan if I completely removed all of the airbag components and bags themselves and replaced with deletes? This is the part I worry about most since my state has Cali equivalent inspections and any kind of stored code or warning light on the dash will fail me.


do you still stock the Ford deletes and are they for both sides and look factory? prices for them?

we have the air bag delete kit aval, they are intended for off-road use only.
they come driverside in black only. its a snap to remove and delete but your on your own as far as laws go

so they don't offer the passenger side? do you know about the OBD part of it at all..I just need to know if it is wired into the OBD side of things.. visual I can get past with the deletes themselves but I need to know if it'll throw codes and if that can be shut off...

Disconnect battery, unplug airbag module..(under console) and you are fine. It will throw the AIR BAG light, but the bags will not go off if you are in an accident. Reconnect battery and you are ready to go.

no rightside aval from FoMoCo,
now when I deleted mine on the pass side, I removed the air bag and just cut the rubber ataching strips from the air bag module and glued the plastic/rubber cover back into the dash opening. I drove my car on the street for @6 months before taking it off the street completly and even wth both air bags removed, I dont ever remember getting anykind of MIL

unplug airbag module..(under console)

were is the said module... do you have anypics....I recently had a flaming river steering shaft installed and I think we forgot to hook it back up.... PICS

the module is blue and is on the trans tunnel under the dash...

I know how to disconnect them.. took them off my 94 and sold the whole set years ago but never drove the car again. this time around I want to do the same thing except the car will be driven and I just don't want to have inspection issues for warning lights being on.

The modules on 99+ Mustangs is a silver metal box.

The blue plastic ones were on 98 and older stangs.

I just got some info from a Ford tech that if removing the bags and module it will affect the OBD scan and have the light on in the dash.. he said to keep the module hooked up but use an airbag simulator..kind of like the MIL eliminators.. doesn't sound right to me but would like to hear what other Ford techs know about this topic.

if its hooked into OBD then is there a way to shut if off with SCT chip?
