rash breaks old record

Get it straight buddy, its was 7.70 yesterday. :p Not bad for only 20 pounds of boost! :owned: And it was a 1.11 60 foot on that pass. Intercooler split wide open and was making no boost. Went out today and before shutting the car down before 1/8 mile it ran a 1.07 60 foot and 2.95 to the 330 foot mark. Work it out, that works out to a low 7, high 6 second pass. :owned: Not bad for a conservative launch and a very fat tune. :nice: You know, just keeping it safe. But thanks for the interest. :D

sORRY I'm off a whole tenth of a second

Congratulate rash on blowing the intercooler up with ONLY 20 lbs boost...

The post was meant to be positive, but a young lad like you would hate to post without argueing...

Since you are rashs spokes person and have the facts answer the following as I am curious?

Is Rash going to compete in the CPSA, or keep racing the street guys who are on DOT's with his pro mod slicks during testing?

What would Rash have to do to his car to make it able to compete in any type of fastest street car competition, ie headlights and dot tires etc...?

Did progas build any part of the car or is it 100% skinny kid?

I just wanna make sure I get my facts straight. :hail2:

Those "Pro Mod" sized tires are the same sized tires that Braid and Murray run in the CPSA. This car has competed in DOT races down south and had near identical 60 foot times.
As for you first post, seems to be quite sarcastic to me know it all. Need to install head lights and a second seat to race in CPSA. We haven't decided yet if we are going to bother to modify the car to run in CPSA. Every other Pro Street class in North America recognizes the car as a "pro Street" car so why would we change the car to run in the CPSA that pays so little money and has such a pour turn out in Pro Street? Everyone we have talked to has said not to bother with CPSA, we shall see? The car is new to us and we need to familurize ourselves with the car.
"Congratulate rash on blowing the intercooler up with ONLY 20 lbs boost..."

What is that suppost to mean?

Its 100% a Skinny Kid car! Pro Gas made some brackets and modified some intercooler tubing for Rash's intake. My cousin is a machinist and he built all the blower brackets and fuel pump/oil pump brackets with some help from Rash and I.

Yawnnnnnnn...........hmmm seems like time for me to crawl out of my hole again  Knowing Rash .........I have a pretty good feeling that we will see the 6 next time he goes to the track .I would think that this is the time everyone might want to go out and watch .

Oh yeah............by the way ...........pretty nice car ,eh :D It's going to be hard to outshine that beast

The second post was sarcastic, (only because of your post)the first one was a congratulations to rash and whoever built the car!

There are pro gas stickers on it you know, I'm 1000miles away how am i suppose to know who built or rebuilt the car??

Instead of slammin a bunch of owned smileys why not just post the correct time with a big smiley. F*** I was only off by a tenth!!!

The car is beautiful, yes it will run fast. Hope it runs 6's, that would be cool, (even cooler if he did it on dot's like braid and the other guys run)

Anyways maybe we can get along in the futre??

When I corrected you about the 7.70, I was just kidding. The Pro Gas Stickers are there because he helped Rash out with the work that he did. If you weren't being sarcastic in your first post then I was wrong, thats how I took it. Just tired of hearing retards say stupid things. I thought you were trying to start something so you got the brunt of it. :D A truths it is then.
As far as running DOT's, we all will have to see? After we get the car dialed in and are happy with it then we will decide what events we want to attend. Maybe we will just say screw it to the CPSA all together and go run some PSCA events down in Califorinia and Vegas? :nice: In the end, DOT tires are pretty much a waist of time with a car of this caliber. It doesn't matter if Rash lays down a 6 with slicks or DOT's. People can cry all they want, the car is a Pro Street car and thats that! When Dal ran a 7.84 when his car was still a small tire car that was with slicks and people still called it the first Super Street car in the 7's. The car is beautiful the way it looks now, to chop up that awesome front end to put head lights in it would be stupid. If they allow us to run smaller lights on the bottom of the front end like other Pro Street classes do down south then maybe we will conider it, but for now our priority is to run the car and get comfortble with it.

Why would there be Pro Gas stickers on a car that was built by Skinny Kid Race Cars?

If Rash is sponsored by Pro Gas why didn't he get them to build a chassis? ???

example: If I ran a motor that was built at Fast Times Motorworks ... why would I put High Performance Engines decals on my car for helping me bolt on the valve covers? :notnice:

I think the previous post by richdude covered that pretty plainly from what I read sounds to me like Pro Gas had to do some modifications and did them at a discounted price for a sponsorship .Im sure the car wasnt race ready when Rash recevied it as it was used and had a different combo in it hence why modifications were made. would imagine he bought a car as it was a much better deal the building a car as most cars can be bought for 30 or 40 cents on the dollar of original build cost.Im sure a savvy guy like you knows this?

Mike, only your first post and you seem to be a fountain of knowledge

30-40 cents on the dollar? .... keep dreaming! :rlaugh:

If Pro Gas was sponsoring him, material costs would only be 10-15K on a roller like that .... the rest is all labour  ... not 50K US

lol go find the materials for 15k ill buy them from you for sure so lets see that includes a blower a cooler wheels tires paint wiring rad cell rearend struts rack coilovers wheely bars two chutes lexan paint and carbon fiber etc.. etc.. i have cash in hand for all this stuff pls send me your phone number so i can talk to you and arrange pickup of this stuff what a bargain. :bs:

I think the rules just say working headlights, I doubt they have to be factory. Shouldn't matter if they are where the driving lights need to be. I'd go for it if it was my decision.
