Rattling from bellhousing

Its annoying the hell out of me, i get this rattling sound from the bellhousing until i barely step on the clutch. any thoughts?

throw out bearing. some guys dial in a little preload into the clutch cable to get rid of the noise (like what happens when you push very lightly on the pedal).

HISSIN50 is right, it is your throwout bearing. You could try and spray some grease up in there through the clutch cable cover on the side(dont press the clutch while doing it though). I drove mine like that for about 3 years until the clutch finally gave out.

How do you go about dialing in the pre-load? I have this on my 94 as well but I only hear it if the trans is in neutral. Could be that the car is too loud to hear with it in gear.

You don't want any pre-load on the throw-out bearing as it will lead to premature wear. you need a bit of freplay in the cltch pedal, usually about 1/2 an inch.

I have the same thing in my car. In my case, i don't think it's the throwout bearing itself. I'm fairly positive it's the clutch fork "jingling" against the throwout bearing. I can get under the car and put a very small amount of pressure on the clutch fork and the noise stops. I've decided to just live with the noise until i replace the clutch. Since i've got over 100K miles on my car, i figure that won't be too much longer now.
