I know this is a very bad time to be posting a thread but I really really need to vent. The 306 that I had been building for a very long time now ended in some problems.

number 1 the heads where rebuilt ported polished ect. well it had a defective valve and destroyed the head.

number 2 I finaly get a replacement head my mechanic was putting it on cause I didn't have time. so earlier today I get a phone call and I hear it running! It sounded GREAT!! he shuts it off gets changed hops back in it to drive it to me and as he's pulling out of the driveway he hears the motor falling apart and it seizes up solid.

I honestly don't know what to do anymore I need a car! My daily driver is dead and now this thing BLOWS UP ON ME after I dump a pile of money into it. I know I'll probably just go get another motor but honestly a can of gas and a match are sounding really really good right now.

Damn man,that sucks for you.
Are you sure it's not the
Block Plate/Tranny?
I had a problem when starting my motor for the first time.I had a new C4 and Torque converter on a new SFI Flex Plate, but I still had a old 302 T5 block plate.I got it started and ran for a moment and was making a terible sound. It was so bad I had to turn it off.I tried to start it again but it was solid, reason:A torque convert bolt got stuck on the block plate.
Hope you figure it out.

Considering he used to work for AC Cobra Reproductions and has built more than you can dream of and he's also a registered class A mechanic, I really don't think you have grounds to say that. So keep your un-called for negative comments to yourself because trust me they weren't asked for! A guy has a ***** day and ***** luck with his car and all you can do is come up with negative to say? You really need to get a life and grow up!

Cool man, I understand a typed sentence can be misconstrued. Seriously though, you should look for something good out of this and talk to that guy! I would be very emotional about the whole thing. I hope it works out for you man.

Sorry to here about your extreme misfortune. Before you get any closer with that gasoline jug, there are some interior peices you may have that I'd be intereted in scavenging first...

seriously, good luck on the upside of all this. You'll get through.
