I guess my heater core is going bad because when I put anything on..a lot of steam comes thru the vents...and it fogs up my windows so bad..is there anything I can do to prevent the windows from fogging, would an anti fog spray work? Thanks

Thats the one I had saved in my favourites it still worked a second ago.

If you have to drive the car bypass it cause it will only get messier and worse. Fog Spray wont work. Mines still bypassed after two years... I know I know... hang my in shame

Maybe this spring i'll fix it but who cares it'll be warm then

You could by-pass your heater core temporarily until you get around to replacing it. Also, as far as instructions go, just go pick up a Chilton manual. They definitely pay for themselves.

If you vent all the coolant out the leaking core the engine will overheat.

If your car is cooling properly it won't overheat your car.

Jamie was saying that if you continue to run your car with coolant spraying out the heater core, that you could have a potentially bad situation.

that sucks!!! I just spent the past 4 days replacing my heater core and its not a pretty job!! Give yourself a good week when u plan on replacing it and mark EVERY nut and bolt. I would just bypass it for now or deal with the fog for a while until u get it replaced. Keep a rag with you and just give her a few wipes every 10 min so u can see where your goin!
