rear axle question

anybody know whether or not I can use a complete rear (rotor to rotor) from a 95 gt in my 96 gt ?

I assume I would have to change the backing plates,since my emer brakes are hydraulic,but other than that would it work ?

Since the 95 and 96 rear is identical I would have to say no, cant swap them.


And you dont have a hydraulic parking brake unless you changed to something exotic from the aftermarket.
Hydraulic can fail and the point of a parking/emergency brake is to allow it to work with no worries of power or fluid.


Look at your rear caliper. You will see a hydraulic line and a cable line. The cable line goes to that lever thats on the big spring. Thats how it actuates the parking brake.
