Is the rear brake line on a 1968 drum brake Mustang one solid piece from the distribution block. I want to replace it and wanted to know if I could get one long straight piece from the local Napa and bend it or if I should get a few shorter pieces and combine them. Thanks,

Mike

Mine is one piece from the front distribution block to the block at the rear end, then it splits into separate lines to each wheel. I would think you are better off with one piece, if you can get it made to fit.

I was under the impression that it was most likely one piece, the reason being is that if it were two pieces there would be more of a chance of some kind of safety issue. I think I am going to purchase a roll of 25' 3/16th brake line and just bend it myself and borrow my friends flaring tool to replace it.

I just removed and pulled out the old line. It was definitely the original line going to the rear. It was so grungy and locked solid with rust. Now that I have ripped it out and examined the line it is good to know it is out. It was really questionable looking.
