Rear Brakes Help ASAP

I need help on taking out the lines that run into the back of my drums on my 85 5.0, also need to know how to get to my c-clips in my rearend

im not sure about thebrake lines, but the c clips are in the pumpkin. you must remove the cover and push in on each axle, one at a time (unless u have really long arms) and reach in and magnetically remove the c lcip, youll see it..

it is easier if you have a buddy around to push in the axles and you just stay in one place.

Do I have to pull out my gears and trac loc to get to the c-clips?

No, but you'll need to remove the carrier pin before you can push the axles in far enough to remove the c clips.

The carrier pin is the pin in the axle tubes before the pumpkin right?

its a steel pin in the differential, theres a 5/16inch bolt holding it in, take the bolt out which might take some umph to get it, should slide out with no problem. push the axles in and use long needle nose pliers to get the c-clips. hope that helps a lil

so i shouldnt have to unbolt the rearend caps to get to the c-clips right? Just push in the axles, and pull out the clip after taking out the steel pin

No, do not remove the bearing caps.

Remove the cover, remove pin after 5/16 bolt is out, then push axles inward and remove the c clips.
