Rear Bumper accident

As I was backing out, there was low clearence and one of my tailpipe tips smashed into the rear bumper (see picture). What are my options to get this fixed? I can either get a whole new bumper cover (~$380 painted and shipped) or... I was thinking of maybe cutting the cracked part into a semi-circle like on GT models. How would I go about getting a fiber glass bumper cut? Would it cost a lot or require repainting?

Also, does a GT/Cobra rear bumper cover/fender fit a V6 Mustang?

Any other suggestions?

Chit, that sucks :( Well, I don't think that you should make those cut out like the GT has, because you'd end up cutting alot.

Yes, GT and cobra bumpers will fit your stang. If I were you, I'd get a new one. Try searching on ebay. I think you can get a take off bumper(painted) for around $200. Good Luck.
 
My first question is why are the tips so close to the bumper?

I would be mad at the exhaust shop for doing that!

The cover can be changed in teh driveway in about 30 minutes with a friend so find one like suggested painted and ready to go on. Perferebly a GT!
