well just bought my new mustang-830 miles on the clock and the rear end blows up-first it's vibrating alot and within 30 seconds smoke starts pouring out-i pull over and the rest of the fluid leaks out. just normal driving, haven't even driven it hard yet. it was towed to the dealer, hope they do the right thing.

That blows man... at least it happened under warranty. You will probably get a whole new rear end out of it!

If it doesn't already have the 3.55's in it have them put them in!

it already came with 3.55 gears. does anyone know if this affects the value of the car once the rear is replaced?

I hadn't heard of this in the new rear ends, but makes me worry about mine. Granted, I've only got about 3k on the car, but the last thing I want to have is a busted differential.

but hey, it could be worse..... you could be shooting flames out of your exhaust pipe, like the new F-250's. (although some may consider that an option, not a recall).
