Well I got the rear interior took out of my GT and im getting ready to install the torque box plates to reinforce them. Now here is my delima. My interior is a 8 or 9 out of 10. Rear seats are nearly perfect with only a small stain in them. I am thinking hard about deleting the rear seats. This car isnt a daily driver and will probably only carry 1 passenger. I am also thinking about installing a roll bar but not 100% sure. Would you guys keep the stock back seat or delete it?

its your call, MOST peoples back seats are pretty much perfect, myself included, because theres no damn room in the back so they dont get sat on much. if you take them out, you will hate the way it looks, so if your dead set on deleting the rear seats, id get a kit. kdezines matches interior color and they had an article in 5.0 mag at one point.

I think a rear seat delete is one of the worst things you can do to kill the look of a clean interior. Unless you're mounting two 20 pound nitrous bottles with blowdown tubes and stainless lines back there, it's pretty stupid. You'll save a negligible amount of weight and lose the lines of the whole interior. Do not want.

i like they way i had mine done. its a full race car. i only have 1 seat so if i have to spray it the bottles are going to the pass seat area

I have no rear seats and the seat delete crap weighs to much. Just have the hatch carpet laying down into the rear seat area. Looks good enough to me.

:Word: Same here. For the people that say it doesn't weigh much, a plane jane lx seat, brackets and seat belts is 50lbs. The other style seats are even heavier. May not sound like much to some people, but that's a lot of free weight.

I vote to keep the seat. Personally I'm not a fan of how seat deletes look. It's just a lot of empty space.

NOBODY ever sits in my back seat. Hell, i don't even have rear seatbelts anymore. This entire summer, i have never even had a passenger up front, but i have to keep the rear seat.

I even put the effort into installing an SN95 leather rear seat...that NOBODY will ever sit in.

your not svaing any real weight by ditching the seat, plus unless you really seal up the trunk you'll just have harmonics coming through into the cab.. taking weight off is good but take off something that's got some substance to it like the ps or a/c sway bar spare tire and jack cats dog bone off the diff. stuff like that will net you some gains.

What you said makes no sense at all.
