Ok, well looks like i messed up. I have a leak from the bottom of my rear diff case. I am guessing that i damaged the rear diff cover when the floor jack. What is the best solution ? can i remove the cover band bend it back? shoudl i buy another cover? Help me out, don't have alot of money atm so i need the best in expensive solution that is still safe for the car.

it's got to be pretty flat to seal properly. I'd go to a junkyard/pull-a-part or something similar and take one off a wrecked 8.8. Probably cost you 10 bucks or less.

The alternative is to fix the dent, but do it right as the RTV can give up and leak if the void is too large...
