First of im looking where i can find one of those Mach 1 style(i think) honey comb inserts for between the tail lights, and how do you install them? My next question is about my rear wing, I kind of wanted to go get it sprayed a flat black color but not sure how it would look, anyone have pictures? If not I'm looking to remove the wing completly, how do i do this? Do i need to get a whole new trunk lid or what? Thanks guys.

I was thinking the same thing, i just didnt want to say it.

Now to the topic, i know you can get those inserts at americanmuscle.com. Also you should post a pic of your car or at least describe it so we can try and give our opinion's on if it would look ok or not with the black wing.

You don't want a flat black wing the machs use a semi gloss black. I did that to my wing and I also have the honey comb insert. It is very easy to install. You just stick it on. You can pick up the honey comb insert at almost any place that sells mustang parts. I would suggest Americanmuscle.com I will post some pics of my car tonight.

So do the mach 1's not have that? To tell the truth i usually dont pay much attention to cars, my eyes usually wonder to the trucks, i thought the mach ones were the ones that had them wasnt sure.

i think that car would look better wingless!....im not a fan of the stick on honeycomb panels, i think it looks better when its painted a semi gloss black instead between the tail lights

That was another one of my questions, what do i have to do to take my wing off, do i need a new trunk lid? I like the matte black ones that you posted streethorse, but their pictures arnt so great id like to see some more, do you have them?

somebody on here did the vinyl blackout on a dsg gt and it looked good.
As for the wing, just open the trunk and loosen the bolts, but then you
gotta deal with the holes in one way or the other.

You can have the holes filled and then the trunk re painted. That’s what I'm going to do. To answer your question about the Mach1s having the honey comb insert, the 69-70 Mach1s did but the new ones don't. They just have the wing painted semi gloss black.

Looks like I'm going to keep the wing so i dont have to deal with the holes, how do you think it will look painted flat black or semi gloss black with the honey comb insert?

I think it will look good. It gives it that classic 69-70s muscle car look. This is what mine looks like.

With the wing

Without the wing

and a view from the front. I have the hood scope also painted semi gloss black.
