Everyone, I've got an 03 GT Auto with almost 15,000 miles on it and I just noticed a rear end noise (howling) within the last few weeks. The rear is stock only did an oil change and installed Redline Oil with Summit dif pan. What I did do back in January was install 1" H&R wheel spacers. Q: Could the wheel spacers cause the outer wheel bearing to go bad, I don't see how but is that a possibility? Pulled the servicing plug yesterday and there was allot of build up on the magnet. Considering the magnet was cleaned last time I put the Redline oil in back in late October I would say something might be wrong. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing the howling or is this normal for the 8.8 rear?
