I'm doing the I6 - V8 conversion.

Putting in a stock 8" rear from a 66 coupe. The question I have is can I use the same plates under the springs that were there on the old rear end?

These are the plates that the u-bolts pass thru and bolt onto. They are also where the bottom of the rear shock mounts.

Can I use these or do I need to use different one's for the 8" rear?

Thanks,

Chris

Probably the same for those. On an 8 to 9 swap, the axle tubes are larger diameter and you either use 9" plates or enlarge the bolt holes.
