What am I missing... 83 mustang 7.5 rear... I purchased the 12MM splined 1/2 impact socket to remove these 4 bolts after my open end wrench would not work and they still will not loosen at all??? They will not budge with my impact gun?/ Any thoughts here?

They're most likely Loctite'd. The 84 I had was. Get yourself a torch and heat them up.

A propane torch really goes a long way.

Yup, they come with red Loctite on them when you buy them new. You really need to get them hot to get them off.

I always chuck them in the trash and get new ones, but many have reused them with blue Loctite without issue
