will the complete rear axle from a 1988 mustang fit into a 1997

Im not sure about width wise, but keep in mind the 88 will have a 4 lug setup along with disk brakes. You can convert it though, but that will have to be done.

the rearend has been converted to disc brakes with 5 lug already. my cocern is will my shock mounts and traction shocks mount up the same and also my e brake

i think it will fit. its just narrower. a shop i used to work it, had come customers that did that to fit in bigger slicks.
