rear gear oil ???

What rear gear oil is better?
Synthetic 75w90 or regular 80w90?
The car sees alot of highway and hot Florida tempatures.
Car is stock

Ive always used regular NAPA gear oil and have never had any issues.

It's a frikken rearend dude. Just throw the cheapy brand 80W-90 in it and the friction modifier and call it a day.

How do the clutch plates react to the synthetic oil? Do you get good, even burnout marks?

I would use good, conventional 80/90 and of course the friction modifier... I do tend to
be very cautious, however

Amsoil all the way (with friction modifier). Has anybody heard that Ford now recommends 75w-140 for all 8.8's? Somebody mentioned it on a thread recently, and everybody else just agreed with no questions.

Yup I read that but I was under the impression it was for pick up trucks.
