Hey guys, When I purchased my 87' gt hatchback it had a fiberglass rear hatch which does not fit appropriately and looks like crap. I am looking to replace it, I found an 87 LX rear hatch and was wondering will this fit the same/ wiring work?

Thanks

The LX hatch would several extra holes in it for mounting the LX spoiler that would probably need plugged if You plan on using the GT spoiler.

The LX and GT hatches are identical with the exception of the spoilers, and therefore the mounting holes for the spoiler as pointed out

You're good as everyone said. The only issue you would run into is trying to use a hatch from a 90 or later. The latch is slightly different. Under that circumstance you can swap out the latch and catch stud and it will still work.

Thanks everyone, I will finally be able to have a rear hatch now that sits flush, the fiberglass replacement from LMR that was on there from previous owner did not fit appropriately

That's a useful bit of information that we can all benefit from. Avoid LMR's pseudo exact replacement hatch because it doesn't fit properly.
