Rear lower than the front?

I just bought a 87 GT project car and something is weird. The prior owner just replaced all the shocks and springs. I know the shocks are Monroe Sensa-tracs, have no idea on the springs. However, the rear appears to be at least 1-1/12 inches lower. Is there any way he could have put the front springs on the back by mistake?

No they front springs won't fit in the back. Chances are the rear springs were cut too much and now it looks off.

Sure they are new springs?

Common for Mustang springs to sag in the rear when aged.

I took a significant amount of weight out of the front and it sits higher than the rear. Aluminum heads, deletes etc. make the front end ride a little higher.
Do you have everything installed? For example, no motor would make the front end higher.
I did the bullit suspension kit, softer springs in the rear than the front, may be similar
