Rear main seal question

My rear main seal is leaking on my 88 5.0.
A friend said i should put 3 cap fulls of brake fluid into the engine oil. Drive the car, let it warm up to normal operation temperature. What the brake fluid does is makes the rubber swell up, and could perhaps stop my leak.

I got to do an oil change in 500 kms, so now i think would be a good time to do this.

Any advice? Did search a bit on google for it and did find a few things, but looked here on stangnet, found nothing.

it makes it swell but i have never heard of trying that. hopefully it doesn't hurt the oil

He says he did it on his 88 5.0, and it helped him alot.
