Rear seat delete pictures

I used 3/4 foam board.....you'll find it at home depot, it comes in sheets like plywood..... It's VERY light, VERY easy to work with/shape, and does a good job of keeping any sound from the trunk out.

I used felt to upholster it, but you could just as easily use tweed or vinyl....

make a cardboard template

transfer that template onto some MDF (thickness of your choice)

cut out MDF

test fit

paint/seal the MDF

wrap MDF with speaker box carpeting or some vinyl

yeah i have cardboard templates already from a friend who has done it, but the bottom piece doesnt lift up all the way because it hits the arms rests. i am goin to need to modify them and wing it bascally. i am goin to try and make a hingeing system too but im not completely sure, thanks for all the advice and pics so far

If you were good with fiber glass work, and feel comfortiable in making pieces that big, would that work properly?? it would be a lot lighter than the MDF. plus you can get a lot more creative if wanted (i wouldn't though)

Damn that looks like a pretty nice setup Seraphitia102.

thanks! there's 2 reasons why my rear seat delete is like that. the first is that I can see my amps and capacitor because it looks nice, the second is that no one can sit back there anymore (or even try) to further lower my car and have me scrape on dips and speed bumps.
