Rear Seat Question

Hey guys i need your help as soon as possible

I have a friend that has an 84 hatchback and wants my rear seats and will bye them for 200. all i need to know is if my 93 seats (yes i have a hatch) will fit into his 84. Also will this be close to a no modification drop in, or will we have to figure something out like a whole new mounting system.

Pretty sure it will work.. I have an '86 SVO rear seat in my '89...

It would be best to swap out all the brackets/mounting/etc.

Why not try it?

Sorry to say but the 93 seats have a different mounting system and dont use the old style metal hook on the floor...you need the black tubular brackets out of the 1993 they may bolt in the 84 but im told you have to weld them in the older cars 79-89,I think they mount where the rear seat belts mount though..the 93 seats have almost no metal frame the tubular braces give the seat support...The fronts however are a direct bolt in.
