Rear speaker and amp mounting question...

I'm about to drop the rear speaker/amp tray out of my 02 GT w/MACH 460 to install new 6"x8" speakers. What type of cutout will I find on the rear deck metal for mounting these speakers? Will it be best to reuse the factory tray with the new speakers installed? Any help would be appreciated.
Also, where does everyone usually mount an amp in the rear area?
