I'm putting a 9' rearend from a 59 Ford into my 66 Fastback. Instead of drilling my rear spring plates to fit I want to put some on it that will fit the bigger axle tube. Will spring plates from a 69 Cougar work? I hate to take them off and then find out that they won't work. If not, does anybody know what will work?

Thanks,
Danny

I used the ones from the '59 Ford that donated the 9" and they worked fine (after a little cleaning, wirebrushing, painting, etc of course). Don't know if that's an option for you...

I didn't get the ones off of the 59 Ford. Should have but I forgot. It's about 100 miles away. I just wanted to save some money by using what I've got. I have and old parts Cougar. I'll probably go ahead and take them off as soon as the ground dries up some and see if the shock mount angle is the same. That was my main concern. Thanks for the replys
