Rear Window Louvers

I have the cervinis rear louvers and love them. They keep the sun off the back seat (Crap storage area, LOL) and they look good. They don't impair vision hardly at all either. Install was a little tricky but I did it by myself in about an hour. Only down side I suppose is cleaning the back glass. You either have to reach in between the louvers or hinge it up and prop it so it stays.

I had them on my 69 mach 1, they are the bomb. Thats why these new stangs are so cool, they look good with the old stuff, hood pis, louvers, hood scoops, it's the 60's all over again.

I know I don't have an 05 but this is what mine looks like with louvers on.

I had the same Astra Hammond as scupking on my S197 - loved them. No visibility issues for me, but this is all dependent on how each person is used to driving. The material is made of durable ABS. Some people prefer metal - some prefer ABS, it all depends on your personal preference. I found the ABS rattled less than metal; however, if you live in an area with a lot of sun exposure, you will need to keep the ABS treated with an SPF product - like Aerospace 303 to prevent fading.

Do y'all know where they sell those at? I've got 94 GT that I want to put them on and these are the only ones that look good.

I like the low profile look. Most others are raised up to far and don't cover the entire window. Thanks

I disagree with this.

My brother's '06 has the rear louvers and they make it much more difficult to see out the rear window in my opinion.

I disagree with your disagreement (okay, that's not a word...whatever).

I have the aluminum Astra Hammonds with NO visibility issues at all. Mounted correctly, you see only the exact EDGE of each of the louvers, so you hardly notice them.

They do tend to make the lights behind you flicker at night though.

I installed the aluminum Astra Hammond rear window louvers that I bought from Amazon for about $250, think they look great! but has any one had trouble with wind noise or rattle at speeds of 70+

I had that problem on my first install...upon closer inspection, I noticed I had installed ina hurry and was about 1/8th inch off vertically from left to right...contacted the supplier (wilpack) and they sent me a new set of mounting hardware no charge.

Remounted, and haven't had issues since.
