I was thinking of removing my rear wing. To see how my car would look without it. Will removing it peel any paint off. Also does anyone know any way to fill in the holes. Without mending the trunk. Maybe some nice looking chrome cover. Thanks\

PS. where is the mexican flag smiley

It should not peel off any paint, however if your paint is faded any, the paint under the spoiler will not match exactly.

As far as filling the holes, someone JUST posted a quick fix for this. Should be on the 1st or 2nd page of this forum.

Go ahead and take it off. You will not hurt anything you will be able to reinstall it. And you can wax the paint under there. Do the hood scoop also. Get the paint nice and clean and waxed under both.

As for plugs and such, do a search that one has been covered in depth.

Thanks, really excited to take the wing off. I really like the silhoute of the car. The wing is just to clunky.

When I took mine off, just a small bit of paint came off too, so beware. It really sucks though because I really wanted to leave it off, but there is a small grey spot on each side of the trunklid.

I must just be dumb But I can't find a plug that works.

I bought 3/8" and 5 1/6" plugs this weekend that are metal and have the prongs on the backside... and they don't fit

What do you call the plugs that you are using? I have been all over HD looking and sounding like a fool... save me the embarrassment :SNSign:

Thanks,

And this

looks nice though too bad about the scratches and roughed up paint. Even the hole have a nice indentation in them. I hate that damn wing. Every mustang has one.

Since everyone has one I got this idea.

Thanks for everyones help.
