rear

i have the chance to get a rear from a explorer. it has the 8.8 in it.. does anyone know if i can use the rear axles out of it so i could get the rear dick?? i know u can with thge rangers but am not sure about the explorers. any help would be great.thanks

AFAIK, the exploder rear end is wider than the mustang 8.8, and uses 31 spline crap. AFAIK, the best way to go is get the rear diff, pull the internals out and put them in your mustang 8.8 and then buy 31 spline axles that are the correct length. But im a noob, im sure someone will come in and give better info.
