I need to replace my differential. I already have the gears installed so i am not going to be changing anything. My question is when i go to reinstall everything how much measuring am i going to have to do. Do i still have to check backlash and thing like that or just bolt it back in place where is was?

That is what i thought was going to happen. Is there somewhere that explains how to do it. That haynes manual dosn't say anything. I have read the corral article and a couple explinations here on stangnet. What would really be great is if there was a video like that t5 rebuild video, that goes over every step.

Yours gears are installed with this differential, so you can forget leaving them alone if you replace it. You will have to pretty much do everything you would for a gear install, except for resetting the pinion depth.
