Rearend Removal

Hi guys,
I want to take out my rearend so that i can get it painted, and was wondering the steps involved, and if i needed any special tools besides jack/jackstands??...Can anyone explain the easiest way to do this?...(I plan on supporting the car with jackstands underneath my subframe connectors, so that no weight is on the rear)...any tips would be great...thanx

It is pretty straight forward. You are going to want a spring compressor or jack for the back springs and it would by nice to have power tools to.

Don't forget to undue the center connector brake line and e-brake cable.

4 bolts on the UCA, LCA, shock bolts...what am I missing here...oh quad shocks...that's it.

You can do it without the spring compressor, but it helps to have a second jack and a long taper punch.

Lots and Lots of break away. Those bolts might be a little stubborn.
