Contemplating selling the built, bullet proof 4.6L DOHC(the engine that was used in the 98 cobra)

The engine was recently (within the last 1.5 years, but has very low miles/hours on it) built by Panoz auto development.

The engine is out of a Panoz GT-WC car, that was run in the ALMS series. The engine was built to be rock solid reliable, no expense spared. Eagle rods, all forged internals, ford motorsport cams. I will be getting leakdown and compression numbers soon as well as dyno numbers, but figured I would try to get an idea of ballpark price.

Motor is solid, does not burn a drop of oil, or smoke

The engine would include, engine, all accessories, wiring harness(good harness for a hotrod but it doesnt have dash wiring etc.), ECU - possibly the built/rebuilt TR3550 as well, but that is staying for now.

Again, this is just a feeler and trying to get an idea of realistic ballpark pricing. Thanks

Used engines are hard to sell. You never know the abuse that it has been through no matter what the person says. If you can find the build sheet for it it will probably increase the value a bunch. Maybe look on ebay and craigs list to see if you can get an idea on what to sell it for. Your best bet would probably be to sell it to a friend or something.

Umm, from Panoz, lol

It came in the Panoz GT-WC car I bought, car was last run in the July 2007 ALMS race by Panoz.

and then run by me 3 weeks ago or so at CMP, car ran neck and neck with a 600hp gt500 that was there down the straights and ate it alive in the turns, pulling easy 1:49's for those that know the track.(6 seconds faster than the other 2 panoz race cars that were there.

Anyway, not here to sell it, just trying to get a ballpark idea of what it might be worth.
