Honestly, if you don't have lots of money, that blueprint engine is a good deal.

I know a lot of the guys will say you're wasting your money because you'll eventually upgrade and need forged internals, stronger block, etc, etc....

They might have something there, but good reliable transportation with enough power to be fun and a warranty until you can really afford the big toys is a good thing in my book.

What Karthief says is valid too. An engine with 52k on it won't have major problems unless it was majorly neglected. Plus tearing your engine down and repairing it will be a very satisfying experience for you. Of course then you'll understand what it takes to replace things and the whole vicious cycle of modifications will begin.

I would drop a supercharger and professional tune on that motor and never look back. It would be a DD with crappy gas mileage because my foot is heavy.

Honestly, 300-350HP is plenty fun in a light fox body if just building a street car.

I remember driving a gt40p combo years ago that was your basic 40p, Cobra intake, b cam setup, and even with 3.08 gears it was just fun to drive.

Then again, pricing on these is dropping
