rebuilt subframe?

the 1989 mustang gt i just purchesed has some rust on the subframe on the front end. it is rusted right threw at the bottome of each strut tower, where the k member bolts up. i was thinking of just cutting it out and replaceing it with some box tube, or i have a 86 convertable that i can cut up if i have to. would rather not though. i was already planning on getting a new k member anyway, and i amgoing to have the engine out for a swap. so is the box tube the best choice or what?

It's about all you can do really to repair it. Take the front clip off and feed it in throuth the front and weld away.
