Recal my mass air, or upgrade?

Okay, I have a DSS Pro Bullet 306, with a ProM 80mm mass air. Right now I have 38lb injectors, but I'm currently in the middle of a NOVI 2000 supercharger install and talking to Rick Anderson at AFM, he says I'll probably need to go to 42s if I want much more than 500hp.

Of course I do, but what is my threshold. I mean I've always heard anything past 550hp on a stock 302 block and it'll split. I do have the DSS main support and stud girdle, but I don't know how much that really helps since it's still a two bolt block. What do you guys think?

That being said, if I decide to sell my 38lbs (with just 1500 miles on them) and go for 42s, should I just get my mass air recalibrated, or should I go up to like an 85 or 90mm?

Also how much does it cost to have your mass air recalibrated?

If anyone is interested in the injectors let me know! I'm not sure which brand but I bought them from AFM.

Thanks in advance!

I would say that this all depends on funds and how much power you want. the 85 or 90mm might give you some added horses over the 80, but i also dont know how much a new bullit meter is. When i talked to Pro-m, they said that it would cost $100 to recal my meter, but it turned out the problem wasnt my meter anyway. Check the Prom website to see if your gonna need a larger meter, i think that they have a chart up.

as for the block, be careful. the main support will add some, but i wouldnt want to chance it all that much.
