My 71 Mach1. 5 yr old Vintage AC stopped blowing cold air. May be because I never used very much even living in Texas. I am looking for a good video on recharging myself. I have a Sanden 508 compressor. When I looked at it I see the red cap but the blue cap is missing. I have attached a picture. Any help appreciated.

About a year ago, I installed a complete Vintage Air system on a 1967. It works very well. Is yours a complete system or a mix of old and new?
Look for any leaks at any of the connections. A leak will be a bit oily because the oil charge escapes with the refrigerant. If you do not see any leaks, hook up a 134a gauge set to see how it is operating and how much refrigerant is in the system.
There may be a YouTube video that can show you how to use the gauges.
I'm not on this forum enough to know who is where but there may be a forum member in the Dallas/Ft Worth area with AC experience that could help you.

A complete system. All original parts removed and replaced.

If it needs to be recharged, it likely has a leak somewhere. SHould really attempt to find and fix the leak first.

To recharge it, you'll need a set of manifold guages, a good vacuum pump, and a scale to weigh your cans. DO you know what the system capacity is?
