does anyone know where I can rechrome my saleen rims (los angeles area)? How much would this cost? Also what is the price difference in powder coating vs. chroming?
thanks

Check out this link for a good chrome plater: www.specialtywheelsltd.org/contact.html. I've used them and they do an awesome job. Don't get your wheels powder coated. They will have a duller finish than chrome. I'd figure about $300 a wheel for chroming.

$300/wheel!!!? Dang man, it would have to be an awfully expensive wheel before I'd pay that much to have it rechromed. My authentic R's were only $280/wheel.

Sorry for any confusion .... the $300 per wheel price was for a 1978 Chrysler I'm redoing. They used the existing center dish of the wheel and attached via welds a new outer rim that was 2 inches wider (giving me a 10" rim). It was then triple chromed and shipped to PA for $300 a wheel. Hey it's not cheap but you get what ya pay for. You may want to give them a call and get a quote. Your wheels shouldn't be difficult and at least you are on the same coast. Good luck.
